Getting the best start in education is crucial for a child’s success throughout their school career and into adulthood. Research shows that a strong foundation in the early years leaves children equipped with the tools they need to grow and thrive.

We believe that the Foundation Stage lays the groundwork for lifelong learning and are committed to supporting practitioners to achieve successful outcomes for the children in their care. Our conference will explore the key aspects of excellence in early childhood education. Excellence which means our young people are fully supported in their development and learning and that they are prepared for the next step in their educational journey.

Join us for an inspiring and thought-provoking event where you will hear from a range of speakers and take part in workshops with the aim of enriching the educational experiences of young children with high-quality pedagogy, provision and practice:

  • Pete Moorhouse, Children's photography: Capturing the imagination
  • Dr Aaron Bradbury, Love and Nurture in the Early Years. Developing a love and nurture culture
  • Louise Dalton, The Oxford Brain Story; Building Brains for Lifelong Health
  • Professor Julie Fisher, Starting from the Child? The challenges of a child-friendly pedagogy
  • Greg Bottrill, What if we gave childhood what it really wants?
  • Anna Hunter and Jennie Ferguson, Exploring clay in the EYFS; reaching all children through motivating and meaningful provision
  • Emma Wild, Empowering Excellence: Empowering families to become truly involved in their child’s learning and development through early years and beyond

We have planned an online event as we are aware that taking time away from your setting might be difficult, this also allows us to open the conference up to early years educators across the country.

Tickets are available to purchase via the HFL Education Hub at a cost of £114+VAT.
