Interim leadership arrangements are in place to ensure a smooth transition for schools, settings and HFL when Rachel Macfarlane, Director of Education Services, steps down from the Executive at the end of August 2023.
Jeremy Loukes, Head of Primary – School Leadership, and Liz Shapland, Deputy Education Services Director – Secondary, will provide shared leadership of Education Services as Co-Directors of Education Services for the next academic year.
We know that this is a strong leadership position for the organisation and are delighted to congratulate them on their new roles for next year. We know that they will both add huge value to the organisation, and to the services we offer to our customers.
Rachel is staying with HFL Education but will move to a new part-time role, leading and coordinating our training, programmes and consultancy support aimed at supporting mainstream schools, special schools and settings to close the disadvantage gap in all phases.
