The role
We are looking for an exceptional maths leader to work with a wide range of schools and settings, departments across Hertfordshire and beyond to share the very best practice and develop maths provision.
As an adviser you would be visiting schools, advising departments and senior leaders, observing lessons and working to help improve the standards of secondary maths across schools in Hertfordshire and beyond. You will work alongside a team of subject secondary advisers and sometimes with Trust central teams.
In addition to working with leaders and teachers you would be involved in training and student-level work too, such as running our online revision classes and providing walking-talking mocks. Whilst being good with numbers is important, so is being good with people and we are looking for warm, credible and intelligent practitioner who can support others to become more effective in their practice.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Maths professional to utilise their expertise and experience and to support the next generation of teachers and students to thrive.
Our ‘working from anywhere’ approach provides colleagues the opportunity to work flexibly in line with their role requirements. This consists of working on-site across various schools and settings, remote working and, if desired, up to 2 days per week in our Head Office in Stevenage, Hertfordshire. The ability to reach different locations by car will be essential for this role. If you drive, then a full driving licence and appropriate car insurance will be required. As there is some degree of home working to this role, you will need to ensure you are equipped to manage aspects of the job from home.
Would you like to know more information about this opportunity? If so, further information can be found in the job outline. You can also contact Paul Jenkins (Head of Curriculum Services) who would be happy to chat to you on 07990 774310 or email paul.jenkins@hfleducation.org
