Why buy a Childminder package?
- Buying an Childminder package enables you to plan a programme of support and spread the cost over a 12-month period.
- In discussion with your Early Years Consultant (EYC), you will agree the focus of consultancy support and how best to utilise the time.
- In addition to your visits, you will also receive an audit visit* to support you to focus on specific areas of your provision and build a bespoke development plan to support your practice.
- Telephone support from your EYC is also included in this package.

Ready for Inspection Audit
Alongside our packages of support, we also offer our Ready for Inspection Audit as a standalone option to purchase. Our Ready for Inspection audit provides childminders with a comprehensive external evaluation of their practice and provision. This can be useful to prepare for inspection and to reflect on current practice and to evidence exemplary practice.
During the visit, the Early Years Consultant will carry out observations and hold discussions with the childminder, assistants and parents.
Following the audit, a detailed written report is provided that identifies key priorities and recommendations to support the improvement of the quality of provision. Prices start from £150 excluding VAT.

Which package is right for me?
The New to Childminding package provides a good starting point for new Childminders awaiting their first inspection. It includes a programme of evaluation activity, delivered in partnership with you by an experienced Early Years Consultant (EYC) with childminding experience. Together you will build an action plan to support your ongoing reflective journey.
The Childminder Essentials package provides a sound basis for planning your reflective journey with regular termly consultancy visits. Our EYC can work with you to provide that additional pair of professional eyes, supporting you with your self-evaluation and includes an Environment Audit Visit and report supporting you to reflect upon your provision and develop your action plan.
The Childminder Premium package is designed to help Childminders work towards an ambitious vision for their setting, ensuring high standards of childcare and education. Meeting this vision relies on focused continuous quality reflection to ensure effective practice that enables positive outcomes for all children. This also includes our Ready for Inspection Audit to support you plan and prepare for inspection.
